“Pilates is a bit, easy, isn’t it?”
A regular statement or question we hear....
And the answer is No.
Pilates is technically difficult, it requires you to achieve and maintain good form and posture whilst moving through a range of exercises.
It demands continual mental and physical effort, focusing on correct muscle activation.
And yes, it can be physically hard, with a burn and a muscle shake and a bead of sweat (these boys make it look easy😉)

With a growing number of elite and professional sportsmen making Pilates part of their training regimes, The benefits of ‘Pilates for Men’ is an increasingly common subject for debate.
The benefits will vary, but for most people, whether a sedentary office worker or an elite athlete, incorporating Pilates into their training regime delivers improvement in a number of areas; muscle strength and control, balance, flexibility and injury prevention. For these reasons, more and more men are asking about Pilates.

New Hadleigh Physio initiative...striving to improve health and wellbeing of employees within their workplace.
Following on from Will's Wellbeing presentation to Shore Engineering at Colchester United Football Club, we received this great feedback.
“I have known Will for a number of years after he treated my son for chronic back problems, so when we decided to have a guest speaker at one of our staff training days, I had no hesitation in approaching Hadleigh Physio to undertake a presentation on Wellbeing.
Will attended our training day Thursday 28th February and his knowledge really shone through, he made all the staff feel at ease and had everybody thoroughly engaged with his presentation style. The feedback that I have had from both management and staff has been extremely positive and his presentation has been the topic of many a discussion in the office today. I have seen first-hand staff taking more care with their posture and taking time out to exercise during their breaks.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Hadleigh Physio for treatment, both Will and Sophie have been instrumental in getting my son back to full fitness and he is now enjoying life at Uni but still pops in to Hadleigh Physio for check-ups when he is back home. As a business we hope to incorporate their services as part of our staff wellbeing initiatives for the future.”
